When I lock the session (Kickoff - Leave - Lock) then try to log back in to my session, kde does not recognise my password (nb to make sure it wasn't me making a typo I shortened my password to 3 characters temporarily). The only way of logging back in (as that user) is to kill X. This occurs with a minimal session (no running applications). How can I provide more information about this - are there any log files I should post? (NB I am running trunk on Fedora 8 as per the instructions on techbase). Fedora 8 uses gdm, if that makes any difference here. Thanks for your help.
your installation is incorrect. http://techbase.kde.org/Getting_Started/Build/KDE4/Troubleshooting#Locked_sessions
Thank you! Sorry for the non-bug...
