Installed from: Compiled sources

my webcam doesn't work with kopete.

for more see:
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=383889

btw. I have the same problem with xine.. I can't see any video!
xine crashs with:
X Error of failed request: BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation)
Major opcode of failed request: 140 (XVideo)
Minor opcode of failed request: 19 ()
Serial number of failed request: 2551
Current serial number in output stream: 2552

I have composite enabled.

If I disable composite in kde4 systemsettings it works fine.. :(

Seems to me like this is more of a problem with your setup , X server and maybe KDE , since it also happens with xine it's probably not a Kopete issue.
You should probably report this somewhere else , and make a more detailed description of your hardware and software , it helps. Maybe search through the kde bugs or online if someone else has the same problem.

Since it happens with Xine (and, according to the Novell bug, lots of other applications as well), this is almost certainly a driver issue.
