Version:           0.11 (using KDE 3.5.9)
Installed from:    SuSE RPMs
Compiler:          GCC 4.3.3 updated to 4.3.3 recently
OS:                Linux

I try to open Kopete and it crashes with the following message "The application Kopete (kopete) crashed and causes the signal 11 (SIGSEGV).

Did you change something particular before having this crash? Did you have this crash every time you try to start kopete?

Could you reproduce the crash even with a "clean" account?

Moreover you shoyld paste the backtrace following the instruction on this page (read about the debug symbols):

This crash is fixed in later versions of Kopete. Please update to the latest available version. You might be able to find newer versions for your distribution by using the OpenSUSE build service.
