There isn't e-mail notification for my MSN account's mail on Kopete 0.50.1 on Kubuntu 8.04 64bit with KDE 4.0.4

Also confirmed with trunk (Kopete from 3.5 does display mail notifications for the same account).

Hi, Kopete from KDE 4.2.0 still do not have mail notification implemented. Is there any plan to do it in 4.2.x series?

not in the 4.2.x series. stable releases don't get new features. Perhaps for 4.3

yes ! this features was good. I'm using kmess now... I hope the come back for kde 4.3 :)

Is any kopete developer working on this feature? If no then I would like to implement it for KDE 4.3. Does libmsn implement all the mail notification protocol? I see code to handle the mail notification but msntest.cpp does not have any command to test it.

you can implement it for 4.4 but you should mail the kopete-devel list first to 
find out if somebody's working on it since there's an MSN SOC project

Patch implementing mail notification is already at http://reviewboard.kde.org/r/971/ . Anybody fell free to test it and send comments.

Hi, I add some quick and dirty installation instructions at http://reviewboard.kde.org/r/971/. I did something similar to that do test the patch in my laptop, so it will probably work for you too.
