Description Bassio 2008-06-03 20:37:14 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.0.3)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux

I am on Kubuntu Hardy

Sometimes when I do a restart, the network manager (knetworkmanager) upon restart fails to obtain an IP from my router. The result in the status eth0, an IP 0.0.0.0 and I can't access the net.

This problem does not fade and I try to reconnect to no avail until another restart (or several restarts) until it can reconnect.

I also try to disconnect and reconnect my router.

My router is an 3com OfficeSuite with DHCP enabled.

NetworkManager problem, KNetworkManager is just a GUI and doesn't influence DHCP. Report it at Kubuntu.
