Description Syam 2008-05-31 16:22:17 UTC
Version: KDEDaily (using Devel)
Installed from: Compiled sources
OS: Linux

KDE Version: KDEDaily 4.1, downloaded 3-4 days ago.
The settings dialog for 'Digital clock' plasmoid has an Apply button which gets disabled once you click it. Changing any setting in the dialog does not re-enable it. Any changes in settings, therefore has to be effected using the OK button.
In KDE 4.0.4 (Fedora 9), the Apply button is never disabled.

I got the exact same issue (/trunk from a couple of hours). In fact you got this (wrong) behavior not only with the Digital Clock but with each plasmoid that uses a settings dialog.

I am using KDE 4.1 beta 1 from Debian experimental and I get the same behaviour
Comment 3 Anne-Marie Mahfouf 2008-06-04 21:45:49 UTC
The Apply button was temporarily removed as this issue seems difficult to fix for 4.1.
Comment 4 monstermunch 2008-06-06 03:31:43 UTC
I get the same problem in Kubuntu Hardy with KDE 4.1 beta
Comment 5 Aaron J. Seigo 2008-06-12 13:28:26 UTC
not just difficult, but not possible for 4.1. it requires work to be done in kdelibs and as such the apply button was removed until that work is done. when kconfigdialog works the way we need it to, we'll add the apply button back.

as such this issue does not exist in trunk.
