Version: (using KDE 3.5.9) Installed from: Ubuntu Packages I got an epson CX4600 all-in-one printer. The printer is working pretty fine in linux, the scanner too. There is a card reader in this printer that is easily recongnize in windows but unavailable in linux. I should get the pictures in my cf card during a windows session. I don't have any other card reader so I can't tell if my kubuntu can or can't recongnize any or some kind of card reader.
Is the card reader recognised from the system? For example is it displayed on lsusb or on dmesg? If not, this is not a KDE fault, but the problem is on a more deeper level.
I can see my printer's card reader in the filesystem manager but I can't use it. It is not auto recongnize and available like a usb key. 2008/5/30 FiNeX <finex@finex.org>: [bugs.kde.org quoted mail] I can see my printer's card reader in the filesystem manager but I can't use it. So you can mount the device from the shell, for example?
Waiting for a response. Most probably not a KDE problem.
Finally, it works most of the time, can't tell why it doesn't.
