Description Maciej Pilichowski 2008-05-29 22:48:35 UTC
Version: (using KDE 3.5.9)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

When you look closer at the status bar you will notice such info as:

5 matches | 1 message searched so far

(example) Please, update info about scanned messages.

I must admit that I am confused when and where this message appears.

Using kmail 1.11.1 of kde 4.2.1, no such message is displayed on either the quick bar search or the full-fledged search feature.

Could you please specify when and where this message appears? Does it still appear in kde4?

I meant status bar of the "find messages" (so it scan all folders) dialog. I cannot tell what about KDE4 because I use it only for testing, so it is empty. If you are sure this info now is reliable (i.e. shows accurate number of scanned messages so far), let's close is as worksforme.

The find dialog for kmail 1.11.1 is completely different. In particular, the status bar does not show the number of already scanned messages at all, so this bug can be closed.
