Version: 2.0.3 (using KDE 4.0.4) Installed from: SuSE RPMs OS: Linux When I run umbrello everything seems OK. When I'm closing it, it crashes. Any subsequent try of running it crashes at start. After I delete file ~/.kde4/share/config/umbrellorc it behaves like on first run (with crash at its end)..
Created attachment 24992 [details] strace of the first run
Created attachment 24993 [details] strace of the second (and any subsequent) runs
Confirmed on openSuSE 11.0
I suspect the problem has something to do with the value of 'Geometry' in [General Options] section. Geometry=313,346 The value shown above is the resulting value after 1st successful startup of umbrello. This is the value written to /home/myusername/.kde4/share/config/umbrellorc. It should be noted that this value of 'Geometry' also causes subsequent startup crash. if I were to remove only this entry, then I can load umbrello again only this one time. Subsequent startup of the application is as described by the original description. I noticed if I were to change it to another value shown below. Geometry=200,200 then umbrello can successfully startup again. But only this one time. And subsequent startup is as described in orginal problem. and the same value of Geometry=313,346 is written to file (assuming you haven't changed the geometry of the umbrello window).
version 2.0.4 is very outdated. If this problem persists with 2.10 or later, feel free to reopen this bug with an appended back trace.
