Description Saulo Toledo 2008-05-29 13:42:35 UTC
Version: 4.0.80 (using Devel)
Installed from: Compiled sources
OS: Linux

I manually mount CIFS directories:
mount -t cifs -o username=user,password=pass,dir_mode=0777,file_mode=0777,rw //Arquivos/Arquivos /mnt/S

I go to Konqueror (KDE 4.1 SVN), when I access this directory I can browse while in icon view. If I put details view Konqueror crashes or goes freeze.

Konqueror freezes while accessing smb:// shares too.

It's simmilar to this KDE 3.3 bug:
http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=98815

I will report another similar bug with Dolphin, when accessing the same mounted directory, too.

So this is a duplicate of bug #92347? Should this be under kio or something, maybe?
Comment 2 Florian Reinhard 2008-06-01 15:32:34 UTC
i can confirm that on svn trunk r815192 for manually mounted CIFS directories but *not* for smb:/ shares, they do work.

Can anyone still reproduce this bug with a recent KDE version? (4.1.3 / 4.2beta2 / 4.2svn) ? Thanks :)

I'm unable to reproduce in recent KDE versions, then I'm updating to FIXED. Thanks.
