Version: 1.9.9 (using 3.5.9, Gentoo) Compiler: Target: x86_64-pc-linux-gnu OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.23-gentoo-r8 After upgrading to KDE-3.5.9, the most important field in the email headers, the return address, is now hidden. If the header line is: From: "Joe User" <juser@example.com> The only thing that is displayed in the message window is the name, not the address. This makes my life more difficult because I routinely get emails from people who more than one email account. I normally just click on the linked address in a previous message from them but now it is just a crap shoot as to what email address will show up in the composer window. I realize I can hover over the name in the header and the email address will show up in the status bar at the bottom of the KMail window but this is a lot of extra work for me, especially if the status bar is covered by a different window (as it usually is). If the actual email address was displayed in the message window like it used to be then I would know instantly whether to click the link or whether I should look for a message with the email address I want. All of the different view => headers options have this same bug. You allow me to display all sorts of useless information while still hiding the one piece if information that is important to me. I searched around the config menus and could not find a way to restore the previous behavior of displaying the actual email address.
Cannot reproduce on KDE 4 (current trunk r948595). Can you confirm that the problem has been fixed now? Thanks.
I just upgraded from kde-3.5.9 to kde-3.5.10 (it took most of the day on Gentoo). The bug is gone in kde-3.5.10 (with KMail-1.9.10) Thanks!
Thanks for your feedback!
