Description erik_hahn 2008-05-25 14:59:43 UTC
Version: (using Devel)
Installed from: Compiled sources
Compiler: gcc 4.2.3
OS: Linux

Krunner find only menu entries that either have a description or have been edited or created by Kmenuedit. If an entry with an empty description is added by the package manager or an installer, Krunner doesn't show it.

This might be the duplicate of bug 165005
Comment 2 Aaron J. Seigo 2008-10-23 10:09:39 UTC
probably related, yes. the same runner is responsible for both issues (the services runner)
Comment 3 Dominik Tritscher 2009-01-25 10:37:26 UTC
This seems to be fixed in 4.2RC1. I tested with the following apps (all without a description on kubuntu):
- Skype
- nvidia-settings
- systemsettings
- jockey-kde
@Erik: Do you still experience this problem with a recent version of KDE?
Comment 4 Dominik Tritscher 2009-05-24 11:51:55 UTC
So, nothing new on this here, still works fine for me (KDE 4.3beta1). Also no response to info request for nearly 4 month, so I'm closing this.
@Erik: Leave us a note, if you can still reproduce that with a recent version of KDE, so we can reopen that report.
