Version:            (using KDE 4.0.4)
Installed from:    Fedora RPMs
OS:                Linux

Plasma crashes (screen turns white), while changing the image of the desktop icon.

Steps to Reproduce:
====================
 o Open 'Dolphin'.
 o Add a samba network share into 'Places'.
 o Now click application launcher (kmenu).
 o Go to Computer.
 o Add the share created under 'places' to 'desktop'.
 o Now change the icon of this share on desktop to some image.
 o Screen turns blank. 
 o Have to restart the system to recover.

NOTE: Changing images of other 'Places', works fine. Issue is only seen while changing the image of a samba share icon.

Does dr. konqui's window appear? Can you provide us with a backtrace?

Hi Riccardo,
            After plasma crash, screen turns blank... I tried pressing 'Alt + Tab', trying switching windows, it displays a message saying 'No Windows'... 
It  would be great, if you can tell me some steps with which I can give to some debug log...

Please reopen if you can give a backtrace or reconfirm this bug with 4.1
