Version: (using KDE 4.0.4) Installed from: 0I Don't Know OS: Linux When I attempt to use Adept Manager, a box entitled : "Database Locked - Adept Manager" says that another process is using the packaging system database... and asks if I would like to attempt to resolve the problem. When I click Yes, another window appears saying that the adept manager has crashed, causing a signal 6 (SIGABRT). This happens every time. If I select "NO" on the first question of whether I wan to resolve it, the adept manager is not fully functional.
I don't know what version of KDE I have. I selected 4.04 because I had to select something to submit the bug report, and don't how to determine the version since the help menus don't work either.
What is your platform? ubuntu? Try to start "adept --version" from a shell.

This has been fixed in Adept 3.0 alpha 6, which runs dpkg recovery just fine.
