Version: 0.50.1 (using KDE 4.0.3) Installed from: Ubuntu Packages OS: Linux If I close the open Chat Window, Kopete will closing too. But if I closing it in the panel, Kopete will not close. I use KDE 4.0.3 and Kopete 0.50.1.
How do you close the chat window?
I close it normally, with the close button.
Do you mean kopete exits when you close it, or do you mean all kopete windows close and only the systray icon is left? When saying you close it in the panel, do you mean the task manager or the systray icon? Do you get any messages, e.g. a crash report?
When I close the Chat window in the Task Manger - Kopete are running, but wehn I close the Chat Window normaly, with the close button. Kopete are close too. No Crash report.
may be try to run kopete from command line with "--nofork" parameter and look to return code ("echo $?" in bash)? Also, this will show if kopete really closed. Also, you may run kdebugdialog and turn on kopete messages. They will be shown in console too.
Does Kopete still close/crash with a recent version?
Please reopen if it still happens with Kopete from KDE 4.0.5 or later.
