Version: (using KDE 4.0.3) Installed from: Fedora RPMs OS: Linux When I right-click on the desktop and select "configure desktop", the configure desktop window shows up. "Picture" is blank, as is the preview screen. I click on the "page" doodad to the right of the "picture" pull-down menu, and select my own jpg. The preview screen (and the "Picture" pull-down) are still blank. I click "Apply". Nothing happens. My desktop is still the same as before. Also filed at https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=447000
can you set the wallpaper to, e.g, a png?
Repeating the above with a png and a gif yield the same results. However, I notice that when I pull down the menu to the right of the word "Picture", in addition to all the standard wallpapers, the picture that I was initially trying to add (before I filed the bug) is now in there...5 times. Selecting one of them and clicking "apply" puts that picture on my desktop. However, the png and gif that I just tried to add are not in that list.
ok, so its not a format support issue, but one with adding new papers. this does work in trunk (4.1) thankfully =)
Hi, I'm sorry for that but i think this bug should be reopened. I cannot set JPEG wallpapers. PNG wallpapers work fine. I have plasma 4.1.2. What I noticed also is that konqueror/dolphin do not display previews of JPEGs. All other previews work (png, svg, ...) Maybe a library issue ?
This works fine for me now under 4.1. Thanks!
