Version: (using KDE 4.0.3) Installed from: Ubuntu Packages From looking at the window, krunner has two parts - an edit line and a results list. But what looks as an edit line actually is a dropdown list that contains "recently typed" results. Let's make it better and make the recent commands appear in the results list. And to make it easier, make it easy to navigate the results list (like the history dropdown list). Currently, to run some recent command i have to: type the text, press esc, to get rid of the recent commands list and then press enter to run the command. * pressing down arrow (or tab) goes down from the edit line into the list. * pressing up arrow from the top list item takes the focus back to the edit line. * typing while in the list, brings you back to the edit field.

Oh, sorry, must have accidently pressed the submit button. Please use the description from bug #162123 , it's the final version.
I had the same idea and posted it on KDE brainstorm: http://forum.kde.org/brainstorm.php#idea83704
With kde 4.4 i can easily navigate through recent commands with up\down arrows. So this is no longer an issue for me. Having recent comands shown right after i press alt-f2, with no input to krunner, will break it's neat slim look, that it have right now.
I agree on the slimness issue. I have no more objections except for #230230.
Hoping that implementation!!
