Description Ross Peoples 2008-05-14 21:51:38 UTC
Version: 0.50.1 (using 4.0.3 (KDE 4.0.3), Kubuntu packages)
Compiler: gcc
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.24-16-generic

Using Kopete to connect to an OpenFire IM Server via the Jabber protocol allows you to log in, but instant messages never get delivered. Also, the contacts list does not show the user's full name like it does in other applications. It just shows their user id. However, looking at the properties for a contact shows the full name of the contact in the Custom box.

I have the same Problem using Kopete 0.70.0 and KDE 4.2.1 on Kubuntu 8.10.
The jabber-server is OpenFire 3.5.2

I can connect, I see the other users on the roster and if I send e message everything seems ok - but the message never reaches the recepient.
However, if I go offline and online, and sending the message again, the message do reach the recepient!

Problem still exists with Kopete 0.70.2 using KDE 4.2.2 on Kubuntu 9.04 and OpenFire 3.6.3 as Jabber-server!

Is there any public OpenFire server where I can test it?
