Version:           0.9.3 (using 3.5.9, compiled sources)
Compiler:          Target: i586-mandriva-linux-gnu
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.22.18-desktop-1mdv

i add a comment with konqueror
in the property in the tag "metadata" in jpeg exif comment field
then
OK
then
i launch digikam
then
i ask to edit exif
then i see the comment field is empty

i check the jpeg exif comment are there with konqueror !

Philippe,

Your interpretation of konqueror behaviour is wrong. Konqueror do not set Exif comments tag, but the JPEG Comment section, witch is outside Exif metadata !

In fact, Konqueror interface is wrong. The comments field must be show outside Exif group in dialog.

I reassign the bug to konqueror

Note : use Image/Metadata/Edit Comments in digiKam to set the comments at the right place in metadata (JPEG section, Exif, IPTC, or Xmp)
