Version: (using KDE 4.0.3) Installed from: Ubuntu Packages OS: Linux When choosing "no audio output" (from systemsettings (application)->Notifications (module)->Player settings (tab)-> Radio button option), and then clicking apply, the changes do not save. Choosing "Apply" (for the new setting) seems fine, and no error message comes up, but the settings do not seem to change (bar visually in the module). They do not persist when systemsettings is closed and reopened. Thus, resets back to what appears to be default "Use the KDE sound system". "Use an external player" seems to be a valid option, and the settings persist. It is only the "No audio output" setting which does not work.
Confirmed that "No audio output" is not kept. Should "No audio output" kill all KDE notifications including kwin windows sounds?
I would have to say so... remember we are in the "Notifications" module, so it makes sense that "No audio" in player settings means just that: no audio for any kde notifications. I would also like an option to be able to "disable all sound" in the applications section (e.g. disable all kwin sounds, disable all phonon sounds, etc), but I guess this is outside the scope of this bug!
