Description Michael Langerhorst 2008-05-14 09:36:48 UTC
Version: 3.5.6 (enterprise 0.20070907.709405) (using 3.5.8, Kubuntu (gutsy) 4:3.5.8-0ubuntu3.4)
Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.22-14-generic

This Bug happens only sometimes, maybe every 10 days in average, but for the whole session.
When I try to edit korganizer entries the german error message: "Bearbeiten des Eintrags nicht möglich: blockiert durch einen anderen Prozess." comes up.

If that happens I restart the computer several times (1-5 times) and then everything is ok and I can again edit my entries.

Last time as I tried to change the language of KDE (to get the error message in English), the error was gone after my first log in.

This Bug happened within the last 2 years in more or less regular time intervals.

Please tell me which info you need in addition to patch this bug.

What version are you using now? Still 3.5.8?

You could create a more useful backtrace by reading this:

thanks

The version is 3.5.10 now.
Thanks for the link for useful bug-reports. I installed the necessary packages to be able to leave better backtraces next time.
... I just have to wait for the next time, when entries once more are not able to be edited.

I organised a workaround for this very annoying bug.
I copied the korganizer resource file from:
/home/michael/.kde/share/apps/korganizer/std.ics
to to another folder and added it to korganizer as a new resource, while deactivating the original one.
This way I can again edit my entries and have the whole calendar as it was before.
But I want to mention that this is just a workaround and not a real good solution for this problem.

I will resolve this as UNMAINTAINED since this crash is for a very old version that we really have no way or reproducing now.
