Version: (using KDE 4.0.4) Installed from: Mandriva RPMs OS: Linux Shrinking the panel to its minimum size setting (16 pixels) cuts off the widgets (they are top aligned and the bottom of the widget is lost. Rendering behaviour on the application launcher widget is strange too. The widget is cut off as previously described however when the widget is clicked on (which displays the kicker menu) the menu appears at the top of the screen. It appears the system is wrapping round the kicker widget to the top of the screen so that the menu is rendered from the top down rather from the bottom of the screen up.
I can confirm. There's currently some discussion on the ml about the panel's minimum size, esp. in relation to the system tray.
Minor severity - obvious workaround for users is not to make the panel that small.
I would agree, but in that case the presets should be adjusted as the small preset on the panel size exhibits this behaviour.
there is no small preset in 4.1.
Thats strange, Oops I am using 4.0.4 I right click on the panel, select panel settings. The Configure Panel-Plasma dialog shows up. The Size dropdown has the following options: - Tiny - Small - Normal - Large - Custom Tiny exhibits this problem (not small, sorry about that).
yeah, i remember this problem, it was fixed in trunk by r823640
