Version: 0.6.3 (using 4.0.4 (KDE 4.0.4), compiled sources) Compiler: gcc OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.24-ARCH When using smoth scrolling on okular (with SHIFT+down) I guess okular is leaking a lot of memory. For a small PDF file, which I forgot it opened and scrolling smoothly the entire night, okular used more than 1.1GB of RAM. Besides, smooth scrolling use a lot of CPU.
Cannot reproduce here. Are you sure you did not search something? Also, which Qt version are you using?
Yes, I'm sure I didn't searched. I'm using qt 4.3.3 (from archlinux packages) Any other info needed just ask
Which graphic card and driver?
NVIDIA GeForce 7000M using nvidia proprietary driver version 169.12-2 (archlinux package). (it sucks! i think you've got and maybe it is him that is leaking memory) Desktop effects were not enabled.
It would be good if you could try with a different driver because we are not getting such problem here.
could not reproduce it again, after exaustive scrolling... I'll keep trying
Hello Bráulio, any news about this problem?
first of all, what an amazing bugzilla look! hello pino, The bug doesn't appear anymore, at least on my new notebook which has an intel card, so it may happen with nvidia cards, but that would a driver-specific bug. going to mark it as invalid
I just ran into this. Scrolling through a PDF with Okular makes Xorg using ~2 megs more for each page. I'm running Okular 0.8.90 and the latest NVIDIA binary driver
