Not really, what's the black thing?

Are you using kwin as window manager or compiz?

Also, does it happen with all pdf or only this one? If only with this one, please attach it.

the black thing is part of the display. the display isn't in full screen mode and also images aren't displayed in the right way. i use compiz 0.7+aiglx with an intel gma 950. i use mandriva 2008.1

this problem happens with all pdfs.

What happens if you use any window manager different than compiz's one (eg kwin, metacity, xfwm4, etc)?

i tried kwin4 and everything works well.
