Version: 4.0.71 (using Devel) Installed from: Compiled sources OS: Linux Alas the pager in the kde4 panel isn't able to show the desktop wallpaper. I admit it doesn't make so much sense but just looks good when it isn't possible to assign different wallapers to different virtual desktops. But as I am sure using different wallpapers on different desktops will be reimplemented (bug 155150) it also makes sense to reenable that feature in the pager for it increases orientation.
that's one of the stupid reasons why i like using kpager2 instead of regular kpager on kde3...
Showing the desktop is possible in SC 4.8 (and has been for a while) If this is what you meant this bug can be closed, otherwise I'm sorry I misunderstood.
@Maarten: This http://img4.fotos-hochladen.net/uploads/200802092zgriqb4psy.jpg is a screenshot of my old KDE 3 desktop. It had 6 desktops with different wallpapers and the pager in the panel was able to show the wallpapers of them for an easier identification. I would be great if the pager of KDE SC could do that too.
Hello! This feature request was filed for KDE Plasma 4, which reached end-of-support status in August 2015. KDE Plasma 5's desktop shell has been almost completely rewritten for better performance and usability, so it is likely that this feature request is already implemented in Plasma 5, or is no longer applicable. Accordingly, we hope you understand why we must close this feature request. If the requested feature is still desired but not implemented in KDE Plasma 5.12 or later, please feel free to open a new ticket in the "plasmashell" product after reading https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved/Bug_Reporting If you would like to get involved in KDE's bug triaging effort so that future mass bug closes like this are less likely, please read https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved#Bug_Triaging Thanks for your understanding!
