Description Neal Becker 2008-05-07 18:57:26 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.0.3)
Installed from: Fedora RPMs
Compiler: gcc-4.3
OS: Linux

Trying to d/l with kget, all I see is 'status delayed'. Doesn't seem to do
anything (other than creating an empty file.part).

kdenetwork-4.0.3-6.fc9.x86_64

Another reporter confirms issue on 4.0.4 as well,

Can u try if other KIO-Transfers are working? e.g. disable KGet in Konqueror and download a file...

Comment 3 Neal Becker 2008-06-01 23:06:09 UTC
Oh I've used loads of kio stuff with no problem, http, sftp, fish, etc. I use it all day every day.
Comment 4 Tomas Mecir 2008-07-01 11:54:12 UTC
Exactly the same problem here - OpenSuSE 11.0 64-bit, KDE 4.0.4; downloading without kget works properly.

I am also having the same problem Fedora core 9 kde 4.0.5
Comment 6 Jithin Emmanuel 2008-07-15 14:14:55 UTC
Is there any information about when this thing will be fixed. K-get is pretty useless right now.
Comment 7 Lukas Appelhans 2008-07-15 14:18:11 UTC
Well it should work (tm) in 4.1, but I don't know the exact problem of it... :( Can u test the latest rc?

Lukas
Comment 8 Jithin Emmanuel 2008-07-16 05:57:18 UTC
Is the latest rc present in fedora test branch? Or can you pint out where can i get the source?

Jithin

4.1 (rc or whatever) pkgs for fedora will come to updates-testing soonish (within a couple weeks).
Comment 11 Jithin Emmanuel 2008-07-16 14:17:55 UTC
I installed the packages from fedora rawhide not kgetis working fine.

Comment 12 Lukas Appelhans 2008-07-16 14:22:13 UTC

soonish not good enough? :) sorry, can't be more precise than "when it's ready (asap)".
