Description Gene Schiavone 2008-05-04 20:49:14 UTC
Version: 3.5.9 (using KDE 3.5.9)
Installed from: Mandriva RPMs
OS: Linux

Selecting KDE Control Center ->Desktop ->Behavior and unchecking "Show icons on Desktop" disables the left-center-right buttons on the mouse which are assigned: Application, Windows List, Desktop respectively but clears the desktop of icons.

I am trying to get rid of the 'File Icons' that are accumulating on the desktop after creating new file folders. If unchecking the 'show icons' is not the method what is the proper function to enable/disable.

Cannot reproduce on KDE 3.5.10. Do you confirm it?

Kdesktop is no more mantained. Fortunatly this bug seems not to be valid for
KDE 4. Please reopen if this bug is not a kdesktop one (and it is not solved)
or it can be reproduced on KDE 4.

Thanks.
