Description Thomas McGuire 2008-05-04 14:20:18 UTC
Version: SVN trunk (KDE4) (using Devel)
Installed from: Compiled sources
OS: Linux

The popup menu which allows to toggle columns of the article list that appears when right-clicking the article list header is broken:

1. It doesn't disappear when clicking an entry. In fact, making it disappear is very hard, e.g. clicking somewhere else doesn't close it

2. Clicking an entry twice does not toggle the column again, the checkmark immediately disappears

I confirm that it does not disapear in kde4.1beta2 - also it's status does not get updated. On my screenshot You can see still "author" coumn which was disabled with this menu a second earlier with this check-button. The column disapeared as it should but the change is not reflected in the checkbutton beeing unchecked.

I've got the same problems in KDE4.1rc1 (4.00.98, Akregator Version 1.2.50) (Kubuntu packages).

In fact, it works, but gazillions of context menus are created when you right click (you can see that the shadow is very strong because of that).

So ... the workaround for me is to right click, uncheck the column I don't want, and click as many time in a an empty space as needed to close all opened context menus.

Another problem is that columns showed state and size are not saved, you have to set up everything again on each akregator start.

This seems to be fixed, I can't reproduce it anymore.
