Description Dan Tetlow 2008-04-30 20:45:29 UTC
Version: 0.2 (using 3.5.8, Kubuntu (gutsy) 4:3.5.8-0ubuntu3.3)
Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.22-14-generic

I selected K Menu -> System Settings -> Advanced -> System Services. The status column of the services list in the bottom left hand window shows services as either "Running" or "Not running."

It appears that this status column is not always correct. For example on my machine, it lists the vsftpd and avahi-daemon as not running, despite the fact that they are indeed running, and are shown in the list of processes displayed by using the "ps -ef" command.

Can you please attach a screenshot of the module?

Here's a picture. Apologies if the problem is just me misunderstanding what I
am seeing ;)

The problem does not occur with all processes though, I've only noticed it with
the two I previously mentioned.

I can confirm this bug.
It happens on my system too

This is(was) a Kubuntu add-on. KDE doesn't handle system-wide services.
Thanks
