Version: 1.9.9 (using 3.5.9, Debian Package 4:3.5.9.dfsg.1-1 (lenny/sid)) Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.24-1-amd64 Hello, I have many friends who have email address in following format "name [xxx] <foo@company.com>", when I reply their email, I got following warning: "The email address you have entered is not valid because it contains an invalid displayname." the incoming message is in valid for RFC822 because they use following quote format[1]. [1] From: =?gb2312?B?XXXXXXX?= <XXX@XXX.com> sometimes I need reply to all(more than 100 mail address), so It's not easy to modify all the address by hand. so please quote the reciever's address if it has invalid char in displayname instead of just give a warning. (use UTF-8 base64 encoding is OK) Thanks,
KDE 4.2 manage correctly this type of addresses. I've just checked on trunk too and replying to a mail with such address works fine.
Then let's close it.
