Version:           1.9.9 (using 3.5.9, Kubuntu (gutsy) 4:3.5.9-0ubuntu1~gutsy1~ppa1)
Compiler:          Target: x86_64-linux-gnu
OS:                Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.22-14-generic

Since a last update KMail 1.9.9 does not ssytematically display messages for reading inside main window or oustide depending on setting choice ; to get display back I have to try to display messages one after the other until at one time one of them can be displayed then all can be afterwards !

This does not make sense.

Yes, this sounds very strange. Are you using an IMAP, a POP server or something else like a local mail directory?

Can you reproduce with 3.5.10 or KDE 4.2.2 too?

Hello! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this version of Kmail has been unmaintained for many years so I am closing this bug. Please try using the latest version of Kmail to see if your issue persists. If it does, please submit a new bug in "kmail2". Thank you!
