Version: (using Devel) Installed from: Compiled sources OS: Linux My udev is set up to create symlinks to my drives, so now my fstab goes like /dev/cdrom /media/cdrom udf,iso9660 users, noauto 0 0 while ls -l /dev/cdrom states lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 4 17. Apr 2008 /dev/cdrom -> scd0 However, when inserting a video DVD into the drive and clicking it in the Places panel, dolphin complains: "An error occurred while accessing 'foo', the system responded: mount: can't find /dev/scd0 in /etc/fstab or /etc/mtab". Apparently dolphin insists on finding the drive in /dev/scd0 and ignores any links pointing on it. Since udev is the way to go for consistent device naming I'd expect dolphin to honour my symlinks and thus check if it can find any of my fstab entries as a symlink pointing to wherever it expects my drive to be (scd0 in this case).
Argh! Sorry, I forgot: this is running debian sid w/ KDE packages from SVN/experimental (4.0.68+svn794641-1)
