Version: (using KDE 4.0.3) Installed from: Ubuntu Packages Kickoff has obviously been optimized for a good usability when the panel is on the lower edge of the screen. Now that we can move the panel, some issues really weaken the usability of kickoff when we do it. I spotted those ones, but maybe there are other: - the handle for resizing the panel is in the upper-right corner of the menu. In the worst case scenario, when the K button is at the upper-right corner of the screen, that handle cannot accomplish anything. In most of the cases, the resizing will be impaired in one of the directions. - the tabs of the menu are in its lower area which makes them easily reachable after having opened the menu with the mouse... only when the panel is on the lower edge. Voilà, that all I've seen, but that would already be great if the handle could be put on a useful corner (or why not all corners ?) and if the tabs could be put next to the panel (no matter on which of the 4 edges the user decided to put it). Thanks !
all those points have been fixed already, afaik. :) you'll see them in 4.1
Too bad that release is due to July ! But that's a good thing to see that KDE progresses well. Thanks !
