Description Maciej Pilichowski 2008-04-11 11:16:16 UTC
Version: (using KDE 3.5.9)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

K > I > U > C > ok enough it is clearly "random". Please sort the list or even better put the _exactly_ same list as in tools menu.
Comment 1 Maciej Pilichowski 2008-04-11 12:52:24 UTC
Tools menus -- I was referring to Kate Tools menu and encoding list (nicely sorted and described).
Comment 2 Dario Andres 2009-04-03 01:15:10 UTC
On 4.3 trunk, the encoding list is ordered. There is some minor detail, it seems the sort is case sensitive and all the encodings starting with Uppercase letters are on the top, while the "cp-" ones are on the bottom of the list
Comment 3 Anselmo L. S. Melo (anselmolsm) 2009-05-10 20:25:51 UTC
Here the encoding list seems equal to what is described in the previus comment.

My config:
Qt 4.5.1
KDE 4.2.85 (KDE 4.2.85 (KDE 4.3 Beta1))
kdelibs and kdebase svn rev r965394
Gentoo Linux x86 - kernel 2.6.29-tuxonice-r1
