Description Leo 2008-03-28 09:48:47 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.0.2)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux

Using a 0.50.1 version on a kubuntu box, when I try to hide in icq protocol, all the contacts on my list can see when I'm online... where is my privacy !?! ;-)

I've only tested this with trunk version but it works. Are you sure that all contacts can see you. For instance Miranda has plugin that tries to detect if user is invisible, so if a client has Miranda with this plugin he/she will see you. Also you should check if you don't have all users in visible list (Account Properties->Visible)
Comment 2 Leo 2008-04-01 13:49:08 UTC
On my side I don't have any user allowed to see me in my properties, for the other side, I'm quite sure that all the other user are using just ICQ not miranda or others (the only thing can change on the version)... In any case I will try to investigate about it

This was probably bug 181099 which is fixed in KDE 4.2
