Version: (using Devel) Installed from: Compiled sources It would be nice if we get a 'Transparency' slider for desktop containment with the close, rotate, move and configure options.so users could change the opacity of every applet on desktop. for example i love to have a big analog clock on my desktop.with slim glow theme i could do it, because it's clock is transparent.but i like Aya theme.but Aya theme's clock is not transparent and wastes whole my desktop space.if we get this option, i could simply change the transparency of Analog clock to 10%, then i have my lovely huge analog clock, without wasting the space or hiding the beautiful wallpaper. I will add screenshots to show what do i mean.

Yes, yes! Transparency should be configurable -- themes are too monolithic, either everything or nothing.

I am not sure, because Aaron mentioned transparency in theme -- so it seems the other report is rather "one global option" oriented, this one is -- each element on its own. If this true, it is better to keep those reports separate, as now.
(In reply to comment #7) I just suggested options implying separate settings for each plasmoid in the other report. Am I confusing things now...? Or is it really the same now? If we have code to control each plasmoid on it's own we could also do one for all.

There's no point in having this bug open. Developers are not interested in it and I dont think it would be a good idea anymore.
