Version:            (using KDE 3.5.9)
Installed from:    Mandriva RPMs

Mandriva bugreport :https://qa.mandriva.com/show_bug.cgi?id=37937

Icons Sorting on desktop has the same effect for all sorting options.
Sort Icons: "by Name", "by Type", "by Date" ... etc. have the same effect.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Put the icons of the desktop out of order;
2. click with the right mouse button and choose any sorting option;
3. Repeat step 1 but choose another sorting option.

on the shot you can se icons named 'AAAA' and 'BBBB' when i check the option to
align icons based on his names, 'AAAA' and 'BBBB' are not auto placing itself
as first and second icons on Desktop,
 'AAAA' should go to the 'homedir icon' actuall place and 'BBB' in place of
'Trash' icon.

So it is happen with all icons, under 'user home icon', 'trash' and 'welcome'
because they are locket at his position, after these 3 icons, the alignment is
working.

Kdesktop is no more mantained. Fortunatly this bug seems not to be valid for
KDE 4. Please reopen if this bug is not a kdesktop one (and it is not solved)
or it can be reproduced on KDE 4.

Thanks.
