Description Saurabh Asthana 2008-03-24 23:21:40 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.0.2)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux

When I copy a bit of text with a trailing newline in konsole, it pastes WITHOUT the trailing newline (e.g. if I paste it into vi). There is no way for me to include the newline without also grabbing an extra character from the subsequent line.
Comment 1 Robert Knight 2008-03-30 06:01:58 UTC
This has been fixed in trunk. Need to check whether the fix has been backported to KDE 4.0.x

Some other things regarding this bug:
If I copy from the console a line that has to wrap and the last character
before wrapping point is a space character, the pasted line doesn't have the
space anymore.
My versions is:
kde4-konsole-4.0.3-17.3 under OpenSuse 10.2

Any news on this ? Can anyone still reproduce this bug with a recent KDE version? (4.1.3 / 4.2beta2 / 4.2svn) ? Thanks :)

can't reproduce this problem with konsole 2.7.999.
Should it be closed now?
