Description Eric Siegel 2008-03-18 18:27:00 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.0.2)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

In KDE 4 apps, if I try to open a file using the system:/ protocol. I get the message:

Could not start process
Unable to create io-slave:
klauncher said: unknown protocol 'system:/'

For example, okular wont open a file from system:/home (but it can from /home/nticompass).

I have openSUSE 10.3 with KDE 3.5.9 and KDE 4.0.2
Comment 1 Pino Toscano 2008-03-18 22:07:36 UTC
system:/ does no more exist in KDE 4, and it's intentional.
