Description Maciej Pilichowski 2008-03-17 21:23:08 UTC
Version: (using KDE 3.5.8)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

I used LANG=en_US for a long time, now I "upgraded to" :-) LANG=en_US.ISO-8859-2 and I noticed that this affected KMail folder sorting. No longer a is before Z -- now sorting is case sensitive.

Please use "common-sense" sorting for ISO-8859-2 too. Btw. I am not thinking if ą is before Ż or anything like that -- plain, ASCII-7 alphabet characters, a, b, c.., A, B ... Z.

Cannot confirm on KDE 2.2.2 (Kubuntu) (note that original report is 3.5.8)

(test case used)
Set LANG=en_US.ISO-8859-2 from console and launching Kmail.
Create multiple mails named (a,b,c,A,B) and save to drafts folder
Open draft folder, sort by name

I can't reproduce this bug either using trunk r948809.
