Description Vincenzo Di Massa 2008-03-16 18:56:37 UTC
Version: (using Devel)
Installed from: Compiled sources
OS: Linux

How to reproduce:
1) open any kde3 tray-enabled app (konversation/kmix/...)
2) the tray-icon shows up into a decorated window
Comment 1 Vincenzo Di Massa 2008-03-16 19:14:21 UTC
Opening kontact3 caused konversation and kmix being put into the systray...

Should I close the report?

KDE3's KMix works just fine here. Is there a specific way to reproduce?
Comment 3 Vincenzo Di Massa 2008-03-18 16:24:25 UTC
I can't reproduce the bug anymore...
I resisted after a reboot, so I filed it. But now it has gone. Good ;-)

I just installed kdemod4 (Version 4.1.1 (KDE 4.1.0 (4.1 >= 20080722)) (KDEmod)) for Archlinux, which is an almost vanilla version of kde4.1, and I found this problem with konversation.

The systray icon doesn't go to the kde4 system tray, but to a very small window that only contains konversation systray icon.
Comment 5 Ismael Barros 2008-10-05 14:09:45 UTC
The problem persists in KDE 4.1.2

Sometimes, like the 20% of the times, when I log in I see KDE3 applications (knetworkmanager, kgmailnotifier) sitting nicely on the system tray, but most of the times they aren't there. Kgmailnotifier just doesn't show up, and knetworkmanager shows up in a decorated window.

I can't reproduce the error, it just shows up randomly when I log in most of the times.
