I think that all text text, in all dialogs, even static texts and labels, should be always selectable.

That makes is much more comfortable in some situations(*) and is not a problem in other situations, so why not?

(*) i.e. email, hey Bob I tried to use that, but I got error popup: "<copy paste here>"


And select by mouse == copy to clipboard as always.

Another example where this is usefull would be bug#140730 or bug#38689
