If I use "check what server supports" and switch to the advanced tab kmail tells me that smtp.1und1.de does not support authentication, yet I use kmail3 with authentication on that server.

Reproducable. I will fix it. Workaround for now: don't press the server test button and set it correctly in the advanced tab.
