Description David J. Knowles 2008-03-10 23:33:50 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.0.2)
Installed from: Mandriva RPMs
OS: Linux

Any application icons which are added to the desktop do nothing when double clicked.

In KDE 3.5 application icons could be added to the desktop. Left double clicking on the icon would then start the application.

In KDE4 it is possible to add application icons to the desktop. For example in the kicker right click on an application and select "Add to Desktop".

The icon appears on the desktop.
However double clicking on the icon does nothing. I would have expected the corresponding application to start. I have done this with multiple applications however this test used Dolphin.

.xsession-errors log when icon is double clicked
