Description Christian González 2008-03-10 11:57:21 UTC
Version: 1.6.6 (using 3.5.9, Kubuntu (gutsy) 4:3.5.9-0ubuntu1~gutsy1~ppa1)
Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.22-14-generic

I don't know if that's a bug (or maybe Kubuntu-specific).
And it's very hard to reproduce.
But maybe more people than I know that behaviour, and someone knows a resolution for it...

When opening Konsole (after many times using it...) occasually it shows the "Tip of the Day" during startup.
This should be only the first time, shouldn't it?

Is the checkbox checked in Help -> Tip of the day?
Comment 2 Robert Knight 2008-03-10 15:00:30 UTC
Marking as unconfirmed.
Comment 3 Christian González 2008-03-10 15:12:29 UTC
no.
you are confusing me ;-)
the first time konsole starts, it shows the tio of the day. I normally uncheck this checkbox.
the approach of these tips then come in a not forseeable manner. (once each 20 starts or so?)

BUT what confuses me now: if i do the "Help -> Tip of the day", and check the checkbox (tips enabled), close konsole and reopen it, it shows NO tip.
is that normal?

KDE 3 is not supported. The Tip of the Day appears to not have been implmented in KDE 4.
