I don't think this backtrace is very useful. Please install the -dbg packages for kde4.
Yes and also try it with KDE 4.0.3. If it works there or if you can't get more informations, this bug should be closed.
Like descibed in another bug, try this first: remove your ~/.kde/share/config/plasma-appletsrc and try again.
