Description Joseph Tate 2008-03-07 20:29:53 UTC
Version: (using KDE 3.5.9)
Installed from: Compiled From Sources
Compiler: GCC 4.1.2
OS: Linux

kdelibs 3.5.9 is failing because of missing libraries; libasn1 and libroken, (both I think are provided on some distros as part of kerberos). My system uses libtasn1 instead of libasn1, and does not have a libroken replacement as far as I can tell. If these are required libs, then configure should fail rather than waiting until well into the make step.

I see some notes on BSD mailing lists about -lroken being subsumed into kerberos, but I don't know how to verify that.

I'm using MIT kerberos 1.6.3.

I haven't compiled from source in at least a decade. No use keeping this open.
