Description dmoyne 2008-03-07 10:05:09 UTC
Version: 3.5.8 (using 3.5.8, Kubuntu (gutsy) 4:3.5.8-0ubuntu3.3)
Compiler: Target: x86_64-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.22-14-generic

On this website : http://www.boursorama.com I have the possibility to download data for some days or range of days from a customized list of values ; let us say I have built my personal list of values I am interested in and I selected the following date : 06 03 2008 then when I triger download the file proposed by the website (or I think now konqueror) to save somewhere has the following name :
"telechargement.phtml"

When I do the same with Firefox / Swiftfox the name proposed is like this :
"MaListe2008-08-06.txt"

At the beginning I thought the problem was with the website but after corresponding with the webmaster he made me understand that it was a problem with my navigator Konqueror ; as actually BEFORE Konqueror was behaving exactly as Firefox / Swiftfox now which is the best way to handle files I think something has been changed in either Konqueror or Kget associated with it (I do not know how) ; if it is due to Kget can you tell me what is to be done ; if it is related to Konqueror which now I believe please fix it ; for sure it has nothing todo with the website as the test with Firefox / Swiftfox has definitely proved.

I found the source of the problem : it is due to Kget SELECTED in Kget as the downloading plugin used for Konqueror ! ; consequently as in Konqueror there is no indication saying that Kget is used as pluging it is very difficult to localize the bug.

Suggested fix : do as in all other navigators : propose within Konqueror a way to indicate that Kget plugin is desired as downloading feature I do not see any reasons to go to an extra application to say that it will be "slave" of Konqueror ; normally it is the other way around ; so when Kget is installed a plugin feature should appear in Konqueror (works this way for all other features).
