KTorrent is not able to save the last size of the window. Minimizing KTorrent, no matter if minimizing it to the taskbar or to the tray, always shows it up in a standard and very small size again.

I tried KDE 4.0.2 last evening with the latest SVN code, and I could not reproduce this behavior. Further more we don't actually do anything when the window is shown or hidden.

So it must either be a kwin bug or, you have some sort of special window setting with a fixed size (right click on title bar -> advanced -> special window setting).

There's no problem with minimizing to taskbar, but I can see it with systray. That has however nothing to do with kwin, it's either the app or the systray code.

Problem is still in KDE 4.0.3.

But I agree, the problem is only with minimizing to the systray...

Not sure why this is under plasma. The plasma widget that displays system tray icons doesn't do anything more than that. It has no control over how an application's size is saved or restored. Whatever it is that does save an application's size would appear to be saving an incorrect size when the main window is explicitly hidden (rather than simply minimized).

Reassigning back to kdelibs as that is the last mentioned assignee.

Kubuntu 8.10 - KDE 4.1.3 - Ktorrent 3.1.2.
Not sure if this is helpful but after minimising to the systray, the ktorrent window's position is restored correctly, but the size defaults to some standard (looks like 800 x 600 but I don't know how to measure it.)

Like I commented already on bug 157293:

I cannot confirm in current trunk (r970844) for KTorrent. It remembers window
size both from systray and between exits. Is there any remaining app which has
this problem?
