Description Björn 'Fuchs' Krombholz 2008-03-05 01:19:26 UTC
Version:            (using Devel)
Installed from:    Compiled sources
OS:                Linux

In every application and context menu that includes a horizontal bar for splitting entries the underlined access key characters below the first "splitter" are blurry while the ones in the top section of the menu are always rendered correctly.

When I move the mouse over the mis-rendered entries to the section below such an entry the blurry underline disappears and is instantly rendered correctly. Moving the cursor back up and down through the menu lets some underlines switch back to their broken blurry state.

This happened since I tried KDE 4 with some of the RCs (built on top of QT 4.3) and is still there in a current SVN build (QT 4.4). Changing desktop effects doesn't change the behaviour.

Are you still experiencing this with a recent KDE version ? (4.2.x / 4.3.x)

I can't reproduce here using:

Qt: 4.5.0 + qt-copy-patches-936035
KDE: 4.2.68 (KDE 4.2.68 (KDE 4.3 >= 20090327))
kdelibs svn rev. 946159 / kdebase svn rev. 946160
on ArchLinux i686 - Kernel 2.6.28.8
